Summary of 2025

January to June 2025, we gathered to listen to and discuss a series of five video recordings with Miffi Maxmillion on How to Be Your Own Therapist.

Participants learned how to identify and unpack the thoughts that inform our emotions in day-to-day life. How to reconfigure them, rather than focusing on the event or person that triggered them is a key to success in Buddhist practice. As Lama Zopa Rinpoche says, “We can mold our mind into any shape we like.”

We also met online with Miffi twice for personal Q & A's.

July to November 2025 we attended live classes with Geshe Thubten Sherab, resident teacher at Thubten Norbu Ling Center in Santa Fe New Mexico. He taught Developing Courage and Compassion through 7-point mind traininig practice (Lojong). A zoom discussion was held afterward, with our own students.

Geshe Sherab taught his last class at TNL in November, and is now teaching worldwide for a year. After, he will enter a three year personal retreat.

For December we will take a month of personal contemplation and reflection. There are no classes.
